The Pas Tri-Community Foundation

About Us

Who We Are

The Pas Tri-Community Foundation is a proud member of The Winnipeg Foundation — a public charitable organization built through generous gifts of all sizes that are pooled and permanently invested.

Our Foundation invests the contributions it receives in a perpetual endowment fund and uses the income earned to make grants to a wide range of charitable groups — grants that benefit our local communities in Northern Manitoba.

Anyone can become involved in helping to build the assets of the Foundation — individuals, families, corporations, and community groups. Your gift to the Foundation will benefit the community now and for generations to come.

Our Logo

The Pas Tri-Community Foundation icon of eagle's head

The logo of The Pas Tri-Community Foundation Inc. is a powerful reflection of the communities we serve and the values we uphold. At its heart is the eagle, a symbol of wisdom, strength, and communication — representing our role in connecting people, ideas, and opportunities.

Each colour within the logo carries meaning:

  • Green represents The Pas
  • Blue symbolizes the Rural Municipality of Kelsey
  • Red reflects Opaskwayak Cree Nation
  • Orange unites them all, symbolizing the shared sunsets and common spirit that connect our region.

Together, these elements embody the Foundation’s inclusive mission and dedication to supporting the unique needs of each community.

Our History

The Pas Tri-Community Foundation Inc. has deep roots in the spirit of community collaboration and giving.

Originally established to support local growth and revitalized in 2020, the Foundation is driven by a shared commitment to making a lasting impact across the Tri-Community region — The Pas, the RM of Kelsey, and Opaskwayak Cree Nation.

With a registered charitable status and active membership in Community Foundations of Canada, the Foundation is part of a national movement dedicated to strengthening communities through local philanthropy.

By working closely with The Winnipeg Foundation and Endow Manitoba, we focus on board development, fund growth, and refining our granting process. These efforts ensure the Foundation continues to build strong partnerships and sustainable support for community initiatives well into the future.
